History and Hero’s Canoe Package

3 day / 2 night package

$400 per person / rates may vary and are available upon request.

Families and children welcome. Minimum of 4 people.

Enjoy a History and Hero’s Canoe package with Clearwater Canoeing.  Travel on the North Saskatchewan River with a certified guide from Paynton Saskatchewan to Fort Battleford National Historic Site in the Town of Battleford.  Enjoy a trip filled with Saskatchewan folklore, history and adventure along heavily forested river banks, white sand beaches. View wildlife and experience excellent fishing.  Offer starts May long weekend to end of September 2008.

Did You Know…

The Post Office in the Town of Battleford is one of the five oldest continuously used post offices in Canada.

The Battlefords is home to the only life-size barbwire bison sculpture in Canada.

The first recorded baseball game in Saskatchewan took place in Battleford.

The Court House in Battleford is believed to be the oldest existing court house in Saskatchewan. It is still in use today.

North Battleford is home to the Allen Sapp Gallery
